This section of the websites seeks to provide valuable primary source documents to be studied along with a unit about immigration. While this blog focuses on immigration from south and central America, there is also a bank of documents relating to various regions of the world, and immigrants’ experiences from each.

This page was originally set up in conjunction with the Young Adult novel, Enrique’s Journey, which deals with a young boy’s experience leaving Honduras in search of his mother in America. Accordingly, many of the photographs and other primary source documents relate to Honduras, but educators will find a variety of photographs, legal documents, and printed as well as audio interview clips with immigrants from a range of countries, with a range of different experiences both entering and living in this country.
